WHAT ARE OFFICE HOURS?

COVID-19 has disrupted everyone. Many people are new to working at home. Those that are used to working remotely are stuck in their homes. We decided to try and ease that a bit.

Every business day from 9:30AM ET to 5PM ET, we started an open call. The call acts as a way to provide an office-like environment, sanity check-ins, and some accountability if you need it. You can join in by using the "Join Meeting" links on the website. We've set the following schedule and guidelines:

Working Hour: 50 minutes of general quiet working time. It's okay to be mildly social, but the goal is to work. We have found it is good to lay out what your plan is for the 50 minutes with the group. If you're under NDA, it can be broad like "finish 10 frames of a storyboard I'm working on." At the end of each hour, we take a 10-minute social break and regroup for the next hour. 

Social: Social time. Share inspiration. Chat. Sanity check-in. Just a grand old time.

 

  • 9:30 AM: Call starts. General social and chatting.

  • 10:00 AM-10:50 AM: Working Hour.

  • 10:50 AM: Break/Social

  • 11:00 AM-11:50 AM: Working Hour

  • 11:50 AM - 2 PM: Lunch/Social/Sanity Checkin

  • 2:00 PM - 2:50 PM: Working Hour

  • 2:50 PM: Break/Social

  • 3:00 PM - 3:50 PM: Working Hour

  • 3:50 PM: Break/Social

  • 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Working Half-Hour

  • 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Break/Social
